Computer Literacy – Learn New Technology

Computer Literacy

In the past, it was thought that only businesses needed to use computers. Therefore, computer literacy was not necessary nor required of the layman. The average person only needs to learn and do what their boss or organization tells them.

Outside of work, a desktop computer (personal) was simply the next new electronic gadget for the home. A personal computer was convenient and fun, and not necessary on a daily basis.

Nowadays, if you lack computer skills and knowledge, you may suffer from low self-esteem, especially when you see young people and older people with these skills and knowledge.

You now find the use of computer technology in almost everything you do – all day, every day. In fact, some high-end cars seem to require more than a little understanding of computer technology to understand the operational and programming functions.

Banks and other financial institutions may soon require certain activities to take place online (for example, receive electronic bank statements), or you will have to pay fees for another method, such as mail.

The younger you are, the more difficulties you will face in the future if you do not have working knowledge (and growing) in IT. Improve your computer skills and your self-esteem will certainly improve.

Those in the 50+ generation, because of their longer life expectancy, may also have problems if they are not familiar with computers.

In addition to reasons of self-esteem and lifestyle, there are two other reasons why you should become familiar with computers.

Mental Health:

The study of computers will stimulate and stimulate your mind. Learning everything about computers will force your mind to a higher level of mental activity. In doing so, you strengthen brain cells and nerve connections. As a result, you maintain a high level of mental alertness later in your later years. Vigorous exercise of your mind, whatever your age, is necessary for long-term mental health and a more vigorous and fulfilling life.

Increase your computer skills. Create a desire to learn everything you can about computers. You can start by taking a course at a senior’s center or in the continuing education division of a local college or university, or just by yourself. It’s never too late to start.

Money:

a) The more you know about computers, the more valuable you will become for your employer. Your increased value could lead to job security and perhaps promotional opportunities.

b) Earn extra income by helping others with their computer problems. More and more people are buying computers. A rapidly growing trend is the need for inexpensive home visits to help people (aging population) understand computers, solve a wide range of computer problems, set up a home computer network and security Internet.

Now you have it! Whether you acquire computer skills for lifestyle, mental health, money-making, self-esteem or other reasons, you will benefit. You can not lose.
